Flights are booked!

My flights are booked! Singapore is on the other side of the world, so this summer I will be literally flying around the world. On my way to Singapore, I will leave out of Boston Logan, stop over in London, and then continue on to Singapore. On my way back, I will fly through Tokyo, stopping through Hawaii, San Francisco, and finally back to Boston. Singapore is a Southeast Asian island city-state off the southern tip of the Malay Peninsula. Singapore has a population of about five million people, about 75% are ethnic Chinese, and Malay and Indians make up the other 25%. There are four official languages spoken: English, Malay, Chinese, and Tamil. English is their first language, which makes it very easy for me! I will be in Singapore during their National Day Celebration, which celebrates the birth of their nation. Their theme this year is "Many stories... One Singapore" to celebrate their multicultural society and national identity. There will be a parade and fireworks to commemorate the holiday.
